What types of things are you guys/and girls into?
I have played football for the last 7 years and and really into strongman events and highlands games strength events.

Just would like to see what other types of things you guildies are doing in your spare time

I love going to see live music. I'm a huge fan of The Disco Biscuits, and probably been to about 40+ shows. Nothing beats going to an awesome concert with all your friends. You can also find me playing guitar and writing music, although WoW has kinda sapped time from that.

I also like long walks in the park.

These things are in no particular order.

Aside from WoW, I love playing with/breaking/fixing computers (not necessarily in that order), playing with my two Siamese cats (who have a dog bed half on my desk, half on Acylic's desk so they can keep an eye on us as we WoW) reading (fantasy/scifi/fiction mostly), working out (started bodybuilding this past year), and reading retarded stuff/amazing stuff on sites like Reddit.

My work can be fairly active. I'm a tech for a telecoms firm in Canada, and I do everything from setting up electronics equipment in peoples homes/our offices to climbing telephone poles. You would not believe how some people live. I have been in everything from 10,000 sq ft penthouse suites on the 61st floor of a building to the biggest shithole of a trailer park you can imagine. Some days I come home and throw everything I'm wearing in a boil wash just to attempt to cleanse it. Other days I come home with weird stories and pics of some beautiful home on my BB to show Acylic.

Aside from this week where I have the flu, I typically work out three days a week with heavy weights. I have equipment at home, rather than going to the gym. I have a bench that is fully adjustable (incline/decline), leg attachment for it, and preacher curl attachment for it. I found a really nice chin up bar that fits in a doorway (it's the same one that is used in the P90x program - which Acylic and I will be starting in the next couple of weeks). I have a couple of heavy duty chains that I attach to that chin up bar, which I then suspend a barbell on for squats (hooks on the end of the chain for the bar to go into). It's easier than it sounds to get the bar back onto the chain hook. I have no machine weights at all.

My exercise routine is:

Monday: Bench Press, Squats, Bent Over Row, Military Press, Deadlift, sit-ups, forarms (using a rope with a stick with weights on it).
Wednesday: Hamstring curls/leg extensions, Skull Crushers, Pullups, Calf Raises, Lateral Raises, Dumbbell Curls, hands (using the little grip-squeezy things).
Friday: Deadlift, Incline Dumbbell Press, Barbell Row, Squats, Dumbbell Shrugs, sit-ups, forarms.


I've been working out for general fitness on and off since I was 19 (I'll be 31 next month), but I only started seriously trying to put on some bulk last year. I've been taking (more) protein as well as creatine to help with this. I am NOT a big guy - I'm only 5'10", 155lbs. I have put on probably around 7-10lbs of muscle over the past year. I was approx. 142lbs last year without any fat on me - I have a bit of a winter chub on right now (I'm up to an unimaginably huge 32" waist, lols), damn Acylic for being good at baking.

Aside from the above routine, my work can be active - carrying tools/equipment/ladders, climbing telephone poles/houses, running wire EVERYWHERE, etc etc. Or I can be sitting in an office all day. Every day is different. But generally, I do get a fair bit of exercise in my job.

That's awesome man, I have taken a bit of a hiatus recently after finishing football but I am looking to get back into weight room now. If you have any questions or wanna talk bout working out I am always down as I just graduated university with a degree in kinesiology.
